Vincent A. Mamone, Beloved Husband of Deborah (nee Mitchell). Son of the late Anthony and Patricia Mamone (nee Schraff)Dearest Brother of the late Colette, Peter (Kathleen), Bruce, Therese Svehla (Brian), and Regina Blake (Patrick). Much-adored uncle and great-uncle of many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Much loved Nephew of Joseph and Patricia Mamone and cousin of many. Son-in-law of Thomas Mitchell, brother in law of Sonja Weiss (Donald) and Mark Mitchell.True and devoted friend to many.
Vince loved and excelled in his vocation of 31 years, being a Cleveland Police Officer, Detective, then Sergeant.
He was an avid reader since early childhood which contributed to his being knowledgeable about a myriad of topics and an interesting and entertaining conversationalist. He loved animals, especially dogs and cats, and truly enjoyed his years of being a pet parent and oft-time rescuer. For most of his life college football was one of his passions, mainly the SEC.
He was a great movie fan of all varieties but with a few exceptions, liked old movies from the 1940’s and 50’s the best. He was a history buff, particularly pertaining but not limited to the Civil War.
To say he was unique is an understatement. He will be missed by many for that reason, but also because of his general goodwill, genuine empathy and willingness to always lend a helping hand to others; he will not ever be forgotten.
