Miriam C Hridel

Miriam Colette Hridel (nee Powers), age 83, dear mother of Tara (Mark) Hridel, David (Elizabeth) Hridel and Daniel Hridel. Dearest sister of Peter Powers (deceased), Martin (Brenda) Powers, Mary Cay (Mike) McConnell, William (Louise) Powers, Margaret (Michael) Terry and Maureen (Dean) Leiby. Cherished grandmother of Maya and Stella.  Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

Miriam loved her career spent as a high school chemistry teacher in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She was the inspiration for many students to enter into education themselves and she eventually became the Manager of Science Education for the entire district. She was an avid bridge player and teacher, even spending several years playing competitively. She cared deeply about infants and children, volunteering at Providence House after retirement.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 16 at 11:00 am at St. Basil the Great Church, 8700 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, 44141.
