Miodrag Vicovac

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Miodrag “Lala” Vicovac, who passed peacefully on June 27, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born on November 26, 1938 in Velika Krsna, Serbia to parents Miloje and Poleksija Vicovac. Miodrag lived a long and full life devoted to family and friends. He was a man that has left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Miodrag is survived by his beloved wife, Radmila Vicovac, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He was a devoted father to his daughter Dragana Jankovic and his son Dragan Pantic, and a loving father-in-law to Susan Pantic. Miodrag was also a proud grandfather of Lazar Jankovic (Katarina), Vesna Jankovic (Srecko), Milica Alcakovic (Aleksandar), Dragan Pantic (Megan), Tomas Pantic (Savanna), Nadia Pantic, Miodrag and Miloje Vicovac and great grandfather to Nikola Jankovic, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

He is preceded in death by his son, Radoslav (Roddie) Vicovac, whose memory remained close to his heart, and his brother Zivota Pantic and sister Olga Tosic.

Miodrag worked at Republic/LTV Steel for 31 years and loved to tell you that he never missed a day. He loved to play the accordion and sing and entertained us at every family gathering.

Miodrag’s legacy is one of love and integrity. His presence, his stories, and his unwavering support will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the DONALD A. FAULHABER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague) on Tuesday, July 1 from 10 am until 12 noon. A prayer service will be held at 12 noon followed by a funeral service at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 2151 W. Wallings Road at 12:15 PM. V. Rev. Mijoljub Matic officiating.

Interment St. Sava Cemetery.
