Jerome J. Drozdowski, 86, of Broadview Heights, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, after a life well-lived, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born March 3rd, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Stephen and Ann Drozdowski (Tamulewicz).
Jerry graduated from Brecksville High School in 1957 after earning many accolades at Brecksville for Track, Football and Basketball.
Jerry also served in the United States Army Reserve for 2 years beginning in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1965.
Jerry married Lita R. Ward in 1962 and they were married for 20 years. Jerry then married his beloved wife, Beth Tonkin in 1983, and they had a loving marriage for 39 happy years until her passing in 2022. Jerry is survived by his three sons from Lita; Duane Drozdowski and his wife Marcia, Colin Drozdowski and his wife Angela, and Devin Drozdowski. Jerry is also survived by his additional sons and daughter with Beth; Scott Rock and his wife Denise McKenna, Shellie Oakley (Rock) and her husband Frank, and Neil Rock and his wife Robyn. Jerry was blessed with his 11 grandchildren; John Brown, Todd Brown, Camille Butz (Drozdowski), Daniel Drozdowski, Jonathan Anton, Nathan Anton, Steven Anton, Ben Anton, Nolan Rock, Ryan Rock, and Reagan Robling (Rock) as well as 9 great grandchildren; Talan Brown, Reagan Brown, Adrienne Brown, Emery Brown, Tristan Brown, Hunter Brown, Alden Anton, Emery Anton, and Liam Butz, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Jerry served as Broadview Heights little league baseball coach in the 1970’s, and Brecksville Middle School Basketball coach in the 2010’s.
Jerry loved his family, and he loved his friends. He enjoyed bringing them all together for fellowship and laughter whenever he could; to include many cherished Holidays, clambakes, winterfests, and Friday night “happy hour bonfires” at the old homestead on Harris Road.
Jerry worked as a Machinist’s Foreman and Cost Estimator at Cleveland Twist Drill Company, and he also co-owned a Shell gas station in Parma, Ohio in the 1970’s. He retired from Cleveland Twist Drill Company in the late 1990s.
Visitation will be held at Faulhaber Funeral Home, 7915 Broadview Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147 on Friday, October 24th, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, Funeral Services following at 11:30 AM . Procession and Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, 480 W. Highland Road, Northfield, OH 44067 immediately following the Funeral Service.
