A proud graduate of Rhodes High School Class of 1971, he began a lifelong career in the printing industry, where he became known for his artistic eye, mechanical aptitude, and mastery of the printing press. He was a true visual artist who took pride in his craft and brought countless projects to life through his skill and dedication.
His printing career began at Kaiser Hospital before leading him into the world of commercial printing, where he worked at Emerson Press, other print shops along the way and lastly at Evans Printing in Solon, Ohio.
Throughout his career, he had the opportunity to work on memorable and iconic projects, including the beloved Mr. Jingelings keys.
His years in printing also gave him more than a few unforgettable stories, including the humorous mishap made by the guys in the shop that lead to accidentally removing Cindy Crawford’s famous mole from a printed image—a mistake that became especially funny among the men at the press, considering it was her signature feature.
His dedication to his family, manifested through his work ethic was remarkable, continuing well past the typical retirement age because of his love for what he did and the people with whom he worked. His last career was with Parts Pro Automotive Wharehouse, where he enjoyed running auto parts and the camaraderie of friends.
Beyond his career, he was a proud member of the Cleveland Polka Association, where he met his beloved wife, Marcie. Music and Polish culture held a special place in his heart, and his love for polka music eventually led to a remarkable 28-year tenure with Polish Freight and Music Company at 88.7 FM WJCU. What began as a simple outing with his son to enjoy the music turned into something much more when he was offered the opportunity to become a co-host. It was a role that allowed him to share his enthusiasm for the music and connect with others who loved it just as much.
Throughout his life, he brought together artistry, humor, hard work, and a deep appreciation for music and community. From the printing press to the polka airwaves, he left his mark in his own distinctive way, creating memories and stories that will be cherished for years to come.
