Edward J. Smith, age 83, Dear father of Michael and Daniel. Loving grandfather of Melissa and Shannon. Dear son of Edward and Lucy (both deceased). Brother of Lucy Giel (dec) (Fred), Dee Beard (Mel), Patrick (dec) (Maureen), Mary McLaughlin (Tom), and Thomas (dec) (Cindy). Uncle of many. Ed graduated from St. Ignatius in 1953 and played for 1952 Championship football team. He was a retired Cleveland Heights Fire Lieutenant and a former president of Local 402 IAFF. US Army veteran.
