Clifford Edward Kneblewicz, 84, of Broadview Heights, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. Born on July 21, 1941 to Edward and Anna Kneblewicz in Cleveland (Slavic Village) and lived his whole life around those family and friends. He attended Saint Stanislaus Parish and School and graduated from the high school in 1959. He was inspired to be on the staff of the school newspaper and wanted to be a journalist. Although he received a college scholarship for Journalism, he was unable to attend and started his working life.
His first job was at a local machine shop and he then migrated to the County Title Bureau where he would meet his future wife, Inez Christianson. He served in the National Guard during the turbulent 1960's when called upon during the highest times of protest and unrest to help restore civil order.
His professional career blossomed when he started at Alcoa, Cleveland Works, in 1966, as he worked his way up through the ranks in the forging division. He was proud of the products they produced and he personally worked with customers on the quality and reliability of their forgings for all types of commercial and military aircraft programs. He was able to use his writing and communication skills to their fullest. He retired after 33 years as Chief Manufacturing Engineer in July 1999 to spend time with his ailing wife Inez.
He was a loving spouse, parent, brother and uncle. He is survived by his sons Alan Christianson and Tim Christianson (wife Lori, daughters Ashley and Julia) as well as his sister Arlene Baer (Jeffrey Baer and Michelle O'Loughlin) and sister-in-law Diane Bellar (Denise Kneblewicz-Ray and Ronnie Kneblewicz). He was predeceased by his wife of 30 years, Inez (2000) and his younger brother Ernie (1975).
He was fortunate to find happiness again in the mid 2000s with Jeanette Durkot, as they spent much of their time together, traveling and enjoying being around family. She was by his side as he passed.
He enjoyed the outdoors and spent over 40 years with the Bedford Bass Club and enjoyed Golfing with a close group of friends over his last 20 years. He was an Usher at St. Anthony of Padua Parish (Saturday Vigil Mass) and he had a lifelong connection with Saint Stanislaus' Class of '59.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 6750 State Rd., Parma, on November 22 at 11:30 am followed by a luncheon at Stancato's Italian Restaurant, 7380 State Rd., at 1:00 pm.
