Aleksandar Petkovic

Aleksandar Petkovic, 99, passed away on June 2, 2026. Beloved husband of Zivka (nee Pesic) (deceased). Dear father of Vladimir (Barbara) and John (Laura). Grandfather of Maria.

Alex emigrated from Belgrade, Serbia to the United States in 1964, with his wife and son Vlada. He came as a ‘first preference’ citizen, because he was a skilled mechanical engineer with a master’s degree.

He was a worldly follower of politics, history, geography and always brought unique perspectives and experiences to discussions.

He was also a longtime member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Broadview Heights and was proud of the role he played in the committee that oversaw the building of St. Sava Hall and Church.

FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE DONALD A. FAULHABER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague) where a prayer service will be held on Friday, June 5 at 12 pm followed by a funeral service at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 2151 W. Wallings Road at 12:15 PM. V. Rev. Mijoljub Matic officiating.

Interment St. Sava Cemetery.

VISITATION Friday, June 5 at the funeral home 11:00 am until time of service.
