Julia “Honey” Zimmerman (nee Trivanovich) died suddenly March 5th at the age of 71 after battling ovarian cancer. Honey is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jack; her children, Connie, Peter, John (Sandy), Julia Hall, Raymond, Dennis (Kelly) and Michael (Julie); her grandchildren, Jason, Brian, Kevin, Dennis, Raymond, Jennie, Jaclyn, Jessie, Samantha, Ethan, Olivia, Taylor, Brandon, and Cole, and one great grandson, Robert, as well as her three sisters, Jennie Curran, Mildred (Dan) Arangelovich and Carol Schigel. She is predeceased by her children, Jennifer, Robert, Edward, and grandson, Robert, as well as her siblings, Violet Borota, Angeline Mikusevich, and Robert, Nadalin and Peter Trivanovich. Honey had worked with Jack many years starting up their company, Bearing and Transmission Supply in 1967 and keeping family life together. She is greatly missed. Honey is well known in the Serbian and Croatian communities and has been a tambura player since the age of 5. She has played with Sarena Orchestra for the past 13 years. She also played with Seceri, her family, and together with her sisters, Vi, Angie and Mickey, formed the Trivanovich Sisters Tamburitza Orchestra. In 2008, along with her sister, Mickey, Honey was proudly inducted into the Tamburitza Association of America Hall of Fame. Her music will love on in our hearts forever. Family and friends will be received SUNDAY, MARCH 7, 2010 AT ST. INNOCENT ORTHODOX CHURCH, 8526 Usher Road, Olmsted Falls, 44138, FROM 2:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 8, 2010 at St. Innocent Orthodox Church at 11:00 with visitation at church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Laying of the cross service 7:00 PM Sunday. Interment St. Theodosius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Relay for Life-Medina, Patrick’s Posse, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
