James Patrick Stecklow, 100 years, died at 10:30 am, December 9, 2015, at Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony, Pennsylvania of age-related causes. Jim was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 30, 1915. His wife, Nellie, preceded him in death as well as his son, Ron and his daughter, Judy. Sons John (Judy), Larry (Margaret), and Richard (Linda) and 12 grandchildren as well as 20 great grandchildren mourn his passing. Jim was a Navy veteran of World War II. After the war he and Nellie moved to Broadview Heights, Ohio, where they raised their family. Jim became a mechanical engineer and established “Stecklow and Associates” engineering company in Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked until 1987.Right up until his death, he was actively involved in working on engineering projects and followed anything to do with mechanical engineering in publications and on the internet.
