Paul Swiz

Paul Swiz, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2011. Husband of the late Freances (nee Urbanowicz), father of Deborah Swiz Zahler, Susan Swiz Anderson (James), Paul E. Swiz (Pat), and Pamela Pascal (Paul). Grandfather of Cas (Jill), Abby Smith (Abe), Jacob Anderson and Derek and Emmal Pascal. Great grandfather of Adam and Mallory Swiz. Paul was a pharmicist for over 40 years. He owned the Pleasant Valley Pharmacy and later worked for Discount Drug Mart, from where he retired as Director of Pharmacy in 1990. He was a loving caretaker of his wife of 46 years during her long battle with cancer. Paul was also a lifetime member of the VFW and WSPA. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Paul's wit and humor were a light to everyone around him and his spirit of determination will live on in the hearts of those he loved. To celebrate Paul's life, his family welcomes your presence at a funeral liturgy on Thursday, June 9 at 9:30 AM at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 4600 State Road (at Biddulph), Cleveland, followed by a luncheon.
